Never a dull moment.
Scottsdale is one of the world's leading art communities, and is home to more than 100 art galleries. Art exhibits, live theater, and numerous outdoor festivals and concerts are year-round activities in Scottsdale.
It has plenty to offer you outdoor enthusiasts as well. Scottsdale boasts a nationally recognized park system; an array of tennis courts; hiking, biking and equestrian trails; and plenty of public space. Scottsdale residents are never at a loss for activity. There are even several nearby lakes, which beg boating and fishing enthusiasts to partake.
Of course, there’s plenty of golf. Scottsdale and the surrounding area are home to over one hundred beautiful golf courses, which led to Scottsdale being named one of the ten best places to live for golf.
Scottsdale also has plenty of shopping, sporting thousands of retail shops, ranging from specialty boutiques to major department stores. There are dozens of public and private schools, and a community college within the city limits. Arizona State University is nearby, and the city of Phoenix is approximately 50 minutes by car.
There are homes of every size and shape in Scottsdale, ranging from smaller homes in the 1,400 sq.foot range to exclusive custom homes on large multi-acre parcels.
And don’t forget the spectacular weather!
Scottsdale averages less than 14 inches of rain a year (less than many places get in a few storms!) This means you get sunshine, and plenty of it! How about an average of over 325 sunny days a year?
You’ll feel revitalized as Arizona’s sunshine and famous “dry heat” banishes allergies and those pesky “winter doldrums”. And when you’re ready to wind down, gorgeous sunsets give way to crisp desert nights. Sleep well.
